SALAD DAYS.....

I love this time of year, when all the back breaking hard work in my kitchen garden, 

starts to pay off......producing the first pickings of the season.  

Beautiful red 'French breakfast' radishes, and the first rather splendid 'Red Oakleaf' lettuce, along with a variety of 'Oriental spiced mixed leaves' and edible violas and chive flowers were picked yesterday.......

......to create this wonderful fresh salad 

for our lunch.

Almost too pretty to eat!
