SUNSHINE IN A BEAUTIFUL SUSSEX GARDEN....

The week's sunny forecast is proving true, making each day seem extra special.  Yesterday was glorious, and the perfect day for my 'Garden Club'....a recently formed small group of green fingered girlfriends who are aiming to meet up regularly over the summer to visit each others' gardens, exchange ideas and plants.....and of course, drink coffee and chat!

Yesterday we met at the home of my good friend Amanda, who lives in a beautiful house dating back to 1702 from the reign of 'William and Mary'

After delicious coffee, cake and chat about everything other than gardening......also good to catch up with news on each other's families, the recent tennis and summer plans!.....we took a tour of Amanda's beautiful garden.

A lovely sheltered 'White Garden' area....the perfect sunny spot to sit and chat over coffee....

Adore this area with its ancient box hedges and topiary....

Such a pretty gateway, leading to another secluded part of the garden......a paved area, enclosed by pleached Hornbeam hedging.....

With steps leading up to a long raised bed
 for vegetables....

A stunning border at the side of the house.....bursting with Roses, Poppies, Cosmos and Alliums.

These are just a few snaps of this beautifully laid out garden to show you. Thank you to my friend Amanda for such a fun and inspiring morning!  Next week, we shall be meeting at another girlfriend's stunning garden, which I look forward to sharing with you.

Happy Wednesday!

Sophia xx
