Good morning!
Well, we are back from our short but sweet trip to Denmark and Sweden......a whirlwind of a trip, where we packed in sightseeing, catching up with my lovely cousins whom I hadn't seen for a long time, wonderful meals and a lot of walking and talking in the gorgeous unexpected sunshine.

Spring flowers for sale in Lund Market Square...

Having flown from London to Copenhagen in Denmark, we made the short train journey over the water to the beautiful University Town of Lund in Sweden, where several of my cousins and their families live.  Two fabulous evenings of catching up with all of them, where we were wined and dined, and had a lot of fun.

During the day on Wednesday, we had unexpectedly warm weather, and enjoyed our sightseeing of this historical town in bright sunshine, and even enjoyed a delicious scandinavian prawn open sandwich sitting outside at lunchtime in the town square.

The centre of Lund is dominated by its impressive Cathedral which dates back to as early as 1080.

One of the Cathedral's many attractions is the magnificent clock - an horological artistic masterpiece, dating back to 1424 which is an early time and dating machine, still in working order.

Interior passage of Lund's stunning Cathedral....

Cobbled back streets, led to pretty houses and interesting small shops......and being a University Town, it had a happy 'buzz' about the place, with students and residents alike all travelling around town on their bicycles.

Gorgeous doorway that caught my eye...

Spring bulbs in Lund's botanical gardens....

Yesterday we travelled back to Copenhagen where we spent an enjoyable day before our flight home last night.

Restaurant & Winebar 'Maven' was a happy find at lunch time.....beautiful calm Danish decor, lit candles, friendly service and most importantly....
delicious food.

Goat's cheese salad on rye bread...a good choice!

Simple, calm interior of 'Maven' wine bar....Copenhagen

Gorgeous Roses!

Amongst the fabulous choice of fashion, antique and interiors boutiques that Copenhagen has to offer, we were overwhelmed by the stunning array of gorgeous flowers for sale everywhere....from beautiful florist shops....to stalls on street corners.

White roses...one of my favourites!

Finally back home at midnight last night....exhausted but happy from what was a busy, fun and inspiring trip!

I do hope you have had a happy week too?

Wishing you a lovely weekend....
