SMALL ROOM…..BIG STYLE.

ALL PHOTOS VIA PINTEREST

Downstairs cloakrooms (or powder rooms as my American readers would say) may tend to be the 'smallest' room in your home…..but that is all the more reason, to inject some 'big' style in to the space.  It is after all, a room that your guests will visit, and dare I say, form one or two opinions….and we all want those to be good one, don't we!  So, whether your taste is for something simple….quirky….rustic….fresh and clean lines….or uber glamorous, I have come up with some small rooms that are big on style, for your Wednesday inspiration!  Please tell me if you have a particular favourite, I would love to hear from you!

  2. I suppose 'Cloakroom' is a very English term Loi? ha ha. I agree, the one with the bicycle looks fun and it would be intriguing to see the rest of the house!

    Have a lovely evening,

  6. I have been admiring your blog for a while via Greet's blog. I will be redecorating our power room in Antwerp this year and I have fallen in love with nina campbell's magnolia campbellii wallpaper in black and gold. I am thinking of painting the tiny ceiling black silk and all the woodwork too. I would live a little gold sink but the space is tiny! You show some beautiful examples here. By the way, loving your home in the most special place in the UK.

  7. I do not know whether it's just me or if everyone else encountering
problems with your site. It looks like some of
the written text in your posts are running off the screen.
Can somebody else please comment and let me know if this is happening to
them as well? This may be a issue with my web browser because I've had this
    happen before. Thank you

  8. Hello Angela, I am so pleased you have found my blog via Greet, and for your very kind comment! I know the Nina Campbell Magnolia Campbellp wallpaper and it is very striking…..your scheme sounds stunning! That is the beauty of working with this small space, that we only spend time in briefly (!) as it is a real opportunity to inject some bold personality that we are unlikely to grow tired of too quickly!

Thank you again for reading me, and have a lovely weekend.
